While offering my salutations to the Seers, Practitioners and Teachers of this
wonderful system of Healing, I bring to my patients the Grace and Beauty of the
Healing Arts- Ayurveda & Yoga.
The modern day life style is imbued with unprecedented challenges, stress lurks
at every corner, information and mis-information is the staple of our daily
lives. The prevalent medical systems, the media, current beliefs in society-
haven't cured us of sickness. The legacy of pain and discomfort ends up at the
counters of a pharmacy, only to foster additional misery, both physical and
emotional. Disease is an accepted phenomenon, dealing with which is paved by
excessive medications, only to terminate at the altars of Death.
Life was supposed to be lived in a continuous float of good feeling and well-
being. Sleep was meant to happen naturally and not induced. Hunger was not a
matter of dull routine assisted by antacids and digestive supports. Health and
vitality were issues that were experienced continuously and a matter of right
for every individual, aptly supported by the society. These were not merely the
subjects of the academics, nor was it meant to get convoluted in the complex
researches of the billion dollar labs or decay slowly in the archives and
by-lanes of hospitals and medical centers.
That one is upset or irritable is as much an absence of health as is the pain
in the knee. Million dollar researches are not required to establish a
connection between the body and the mind. The 'me' knows that I exist beyond
the mechanical boundaries espoused by sophisticated technical jargons. Certain
foods affect my moods, positively or negatively. Nature lifts me up. Ingestion
of certain herbs made my heart burn go away. I never slept better since I
started Yoga. These are the living experiences of many of us. Simple, day to
day, lifestyle changes have gone long ways in alleviating pains, discomfort and
miseries.
I am an Internist, Board Certified Doctor of Modern Medicine. I bring the most
invaluable tools of diagnosis, prognosis and modern researches to understand
and support the Art of Healing & Well-being, so wonderfully described in
Ayurveda and Yoga. I do not consider my patients as pill-popping devices. I do
not offer treatment-on-the-run. Be prepared to spend around two hours on the
first visit and more than half an hour during the repeat visits. Lifestyle,
Diet & Herbs are the three pillars, I base my treatment support on. You and
I, together, are going to become partners in understanding, building and
nurturing your health. Our aim is to bring the body and mind back to a
perfectly balanced state of optimal health and longevity and a peaceful mind,
preventing further disease. We utilize the complementary and synergistic
techniques of Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation for long lasting effects, without
which the complete effect on body, mind and soul is unachievable.
